My Christmas

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and got everything they wanted. But Christmas is not just about the presents, for me Christmas is about family. My family every few years rents Ringsfield hall for all our family to stay in from Christmas eve until the day after boxing day.

The House

Ringsfield hall is a 19th century manor located in Suffolk, the hall is out of the way there for there no internet connection or cell service which we find perfect for reconnecting with the family through games. The hall has 13 bed rooms and the main dining room can seat 50-55 people which was perfect for the 37 of us there this year.

The Grounds

The hall is situated on 14 achres of woodland which means that it is beautiful and idilic. everywhere you turn there is a new secret path or garden which really makes the hall feel special to you. It is perfect for kids also as there is a small farm, maze and play area on the land. This location is absolutely perfect for walking off that Christmas dinner food baby.

The Animals

On the farm there are lots of animals including goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs, peacocks and horses. This is a lovely aspect and gives visitors something to do also.

 My Family

img_4710As I said this year there was a massive 37 of us who stayed at Ringsfield hall this Christmas. I bet your all thinking “wow who the hell cooked for all of them” well we are very lucky to have two brilliant chefs in the family who cooked us a lovely Christmas dinner. We all lend a helping hand cleaning up and washing dishes. Also we assign tasks to different families for example decorating the house or creating games for the evening. Overall it is a really lovely time and a bit of a detox from everyday life whilst truly reconnecting with my family.

I hope you enjoyed hearing a bit about my family Christmas and i hope it inspires you to disconnect from the outside world to reconnect with your family.

Have a happy new year x
